Wilderness skills - Learn to survive.

Learn the 5 principles of wilderness survival in this action packed activity.

In this activity we offer the opportunity to gain skills that will enable you to survive in a wildness setting. Light fires, build shelters, filter water, do some basic first aid and get help.

Wilderness skills

The 5 principals of survival in an emergency situation are:

Fire building, Finding/Making Shelter, Food and water, First aid and Signalling.

With just basic skills in these areas you can survive most situations.

In our active sessions you’ll have the chance to hone these skills in a fun and engaging way.

To keep things safe we do things on a small scale. We won’t be building large fires, but we will learn and practice starting one. Shelters can be simple lean to’s or can involve using tarps to set something up. The focus will be on the basics with equipment you’d usually have to hand in the outdoors.

We won’t be doing any knife work on our sessions. This is about basic survival (whittled spoons are a luxury!)
